Construction of the Church of St. Matrona of Moscow in Yelizovo continuestranslated

Construction of a church in honor of St. Matrona of Moscow in the city of Elizovo continues. Residents of Elizovo are waiting for the completion of construction and consecration of a new church in honor of the holy blessed old woman, who is especially revered in Kamchatka.

At the moment, interior finishing work is being carried out: the walls have been painted, the iconostasis has been ordered and paid for, and the porcelain tiles have almost been added to the floor.

Three years ago, a dome with a Cross was installed on the church, and the bells for the belfry were consecrated. Parishioners of the church gather every week to read the Akathist to Saint Matrona of Moscow.

“On the first floor of the church under construction, the Divine Liturgy is served every Saturday. After the service, there is a thematic meal during which the teachings of the holy fathers are read and the theme of the current holiday is discussed,” said the rector of the church, Archpriest Konstantin Batsatsenko.
