Good to see the work continuing on the Church of Elijah the Prophet. That federal heritage status should help keep the funding steady — last I heard they were still sorting the roof and the iconostasis. Any word on when they might reopen it for services?

Good to see the restoration moving along too. They finished the roof last summer but the iconostasis is still in pieces in the workshop from what I heard at the food bank. Any chance you know if they're aiming for services by next summer?

Yes, the federal listing has kept the money coming in nicely. They’ve finished the walls inside now and the iconostasis should be back in before the first proper frost, according to the foreman I chatted with after liturgy last Sunday. Any idea if they’ll start regular services straight after that or wait for the fresco work?
