The procession with the relics of the Holy Great Martyr John the New from Suceava ended on Tuesday, after two days in which the faithful from Suceava county welcomed their protector.

In the evening of Monday, the casket was taken to the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in Gura Humorului, where they remained during the night.

On this occasion, Vicar Bishop Damaschin Dorneanul of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți, urged those present to spend time in vigil and prayer: "May your prayers be united with those of the angels, who always praise God".

"Leaving here, remember that, this year, Saint John blessed you, the loved ones whom you carry in prayer, and, when it will be difficult for you, lift up your hearts in prayer to the Saint who blessed, by his stay in this cathedral, with the mercy of God."

A rich itinerary On the second day, the casket was carried through several communities in the north of Suceava county.

The procession itinerary included the towns of Pârteștii de Sus, Botoșana, Cajvana, Solca, Clit, Marginea, Horodnic de Sus, Voitinel and Vicovu de Jos.
