"Our meeting, here and now, with St. Pious Dimitrie the New and St. Pious Elizabeth of the Bird, by honoring their holy relics, shows us that God works in every generation and calls people to sanctity," His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel conveyed to those who participated in the "Path of the Saints" Procession on Saturday.

His Beatitude welcomed the crowd of pilgrims at the outer altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral, together with the Patriarchal Vicar Bishops Varlaam Ploieșteanul and Paisie Sinaitul and with the Vicar Bishop Timotei Prahoveanul of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.

The procession had two starting points: The first group left from the Patriarchal Cathedral with the relics of Saint Pious Demetrius the New and Saint Great Martyr Demetrius, the Fountain of Peace, on the route: Patriarchal Cathedral - Str. Patriarchy - B-dul. Regina Maria – the base of Patriarch's Hill (Unirii Square).

The second column started from the "Saint Spiridon" Metropolitan Cathedral - New with the relics of the Holy Hierarch Nectarius, of the Holy Emperors Constantine and Elena and of the Pious Elisabeta from Pasărea, on the route: Str. Bibescu Vodă – the base of the Hill...
