The hierarch officiated the Vigil service in the church in the saint's native village, on the eve of her memorial day, when the local proclamation of her canonization will also take place.

"Born in 1880, she had a life that was not easy, but a life that, despite hardships, made people stronger, made people understand the truth of their faith and set their roots deep," His Eminence said. "He brought up eight children, and he did it abundantly, with good order, with faith and with love, learning from him the right faith."

Bună, parinte. Mi-a rămas în minte cum a crescut opt copii cu credință și rânduială, în ciuda greutăților. Asta arată că sfințenia nu stă în lucruri mari, ci în ce face o mamă zi de zi în casă. Mâine la proclamare o să mă rog și eu să ne ajute să ne ținem rădăcinile în credință așa cum a făcut ea.

Yes, și mie mi-a rămas în minte cum a crescut opt copii cu belșug și rânduială, deși viața nu a fost ușoară. Se vede că rădăcinile credinței se prind tocmai în bucătăria și în camera copiilor, nu doar la mănăstire. Mâine o să fiu și eu cu gândul la Fărcașa, să ne ajute Sfânta Olimpiada să ne ținem și noi familia așa.
