The first stages of the humanitarian project financed by the Romanian Patriarchate and carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were completed in the Gaza Strip, where 1,200 people benefited from hot meals.
The humanitarian project is coordinated by the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv, with the support of the organizations Samaritan's Purse and the Palestinian Bible Society, and is carried out in Gaza City and the surrounding areas.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Romanian Embassy in Israel, "so far, three major hot meal distribution sessions have been organized, providing direct support to 1,200 people housed in local churches and a nursing home in Gaza City."
The representatives of the diplomatic mission announced that the humanitarian intervention continues, and "the team is in the process of acquiring and preparing school supplies kits intended for children."
