Parishioners of the Uzden church held a charity event at the district hospitaltranslated

On July 12, 2026, on the day of the patronal feast, the youth of the parish of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Uzda, together with the parish volunteer group “Orthodox Mercy Service,” visited patients in the nursing wards of the Uzda central regional hospital.

The volunteers did not come empty-handed - they brought small gifts to brighten up the everyday life of people who found themselves far from home and loved ones. The youth gave the patients treats prepared and collected by parishioners, as well as personal hygiene products - they were purchased with donations collected in the parish.

During the meeting, good wishes and festive chants were heard.

The patronal feast of the Uzden church became a good occasion to share joy and warmth with those who now especially need it.
