Parishioners of the Assumption Church in the village of Uspenskoye made a pilgrimage to the shrines of St. Petersburg and Novgorod landstranslated

From July 14 to 17, a group of parishioners of the Assumption Church in the village of Uspenskoye made a pilgrimage to the shrines of St. Petersburg and Novgorod lands.

During the pilgrimage, believers visited the Holy Trinity Alexander-Svirsky Monastery, where they venerated the relics of St. Alexander of Svirsky, and also visited the Seraphim-Vyritsky monastery, associated with the name of St. Seraphim of Vyritsky.

The trip program also included a visit to Kronstadt, where pilgrims prayed at the Naval St. Nicholas Cathedral and got acquainted with places associated with the holy righteous John of Kronstadt. In addition, the trip participants visited Peterhof, getting acquainted with one of the most famous historical and cultural monuments of Russia.

The pilgrimage continued on Novgorod land. The parishioners visited the Spaso-Varlaamov Khutyn Monastery and the St. George's Monastery, where they became acquainted with the rich history of the ancient Novgorod monasteries.

A special event was a visit to the St. Sophia Cathedral of Veliky Novgorod, the oldest surviving temple in Russia, where pilgrims took part in common prayer and venerated the cathedral’s shrines.

The trip became for its participants a time of joint prayer and spiritual communication...
