Presentation of the “Startup Spirit” project within the framework of a pedagogical workshop in the village of Vinnovkatranslated

With the blessing of Metropolitan Feodosius of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk, a camp for teaching staff in the format of a workshop “Cultural and Historical Traditions of Orthodoxy” was held at the base of the Holy Mother of God Kazan Monastery in the village of Vinnovka.

The event was organized by the department of religious education and catechesis of the Samara diocese together with the Institute for Educational Development.

During the meetings, teachers were introduced to the diocesan project for schoolchildren and youth, “Startup of the Spirit.”

The initiative is being implemented by the autonomous non-profit organization “Center for Socially Significant Projects “Potential”” together with the Pokrovsky Alexander-Chagrinsky Convent.

This year, the project was included in the state assignment of the Ministry of Education of the Samara Region as a pilot project and received a positive assessment from the Committee on Education and Science of the Samara Provincial Duma.

The cooperation program is designed for five years, and the project itself is a key area of interaction between the metropolis and the ministry.

The developed methods are consistent with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard and the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On approval of the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening...

It’s good that the “Startup of the Spirit” project is now a state assignment and according to the Federal State Educational Standard. I wonder what exactly the methods for schoolchildren were invented at the monastery, maybe someone can tell you more?

I don't know if anyone from our group got to Vinovka, but it seems logical to me that they adapted the methods to FGOs, otherwise they wouldn't have entered the ministry as a pilot project. I also wonder what religion classes with "Startup Duh" actually look like - if they use practical activities or just classic lessons. Do you have any idea what this might look like in a regular school in Sibiu?

I also wonder what a concrete hour of "Startup Duh" looks like - if I get the children to do something with their hands, like a small project or drawing related to the saints, or if it stays with the blackboard and notebook. What do you think would go better in religion class?

I don't know anyone from us who has been to Vinovka, but it seems to me that if they put the project in charge of the state and approved it in the Duma, it means that they seriously adapted the methods to regular classes. I also wonder what a concrete lesson looks like - if it involves more discussion or if they also have simple activities, like a little iconoclasm or reading from the lives of the saints with questions. Any idea if any brochures can be accessed online?
