The patronal feast of the Holy Trinity Church in Angarsk was led by Metropolitan Maximiliantranslated

On May 31, 2026, on the day of Holy Pentecost, Metropolitan Maximilian of Irkutsk and Angarsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the city of Angarsk. At the entrance to the church, the mayor of the Angarsk district, Sergei Petrov, hospitably greeted the bishop with bread and salt. Also praying at the service were the Chairman of the Angarsk City Duma, Alexander Gorodskoy, and the Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region, Denis Yagodzinsky. The hymns of the liturgy were performed by a choir under the direction of Galia Koneva. During the liturgy, immediately after the Great Entrance, the ordination of Deacon Sergius Kashurin to presbyter was performed. This was the first consecration in the history of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Angarsk. The rector of the church, Archpriest Vladimir Kilin, addressed the worshipers with a word about the meaning of the holiday of Holy Pentecost for Christians and about the sin that will not be forgiven to man - about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit: We will rarely see a direct blasphemer, the times of fighting God have passed, but neglect, trampling on the Gift of the Holy Spirit, neglect of His Church, neglect of His sacraments, contempt for the commandments He gave us in part introduces us to this unforgivable sin.
