On September 17, on the day of remembrance of the holy prophet and God-seer Moses, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the prophet Moses the God-seer of Samara. His Eminence was co-served by the rector and clergy of the church, the clergy of the Samara Metropolis. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a religious procession was held around the church. Then Metropolitan Theodosius addressed the clergy and worshipers with an archpastoral word, congratulating the rector and parishioners of the church on the patronal feast day and wishing them God's help, spiritual strengthening and the intercession of the holy prophet Moses the Seer of God. Prophet Moses is the great Old Testament prophet and lawgiver of the Israeli people. He came from the tribe of Levi, was born in Egypt and was raised by the daughter of Pharaoh. By the will of God, Moses became the leader of the Israeli people, led them out of Egyptian slavery, and on Mount Sinai received the Ten Commandments from the Lord. Through him, God performed many signs and wonders, and also revealed to people the truths about the creation of the world and man.

The Prophet Moses lived 120 years and reposed in the land of Moab. The Holy Scriptures testify that he was buried in a valley near Bethpegor, but the place of his burial...
