On July 5–6, the Sretensky Stavropegic Monastery hosted solemn services in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patronal feast day of the monastery. The all-night vigil was led by the abbot of the monastery and rector of the Sretensky Theological Academy, Hegumen John (Ludishchev), and the Divine Liturgy in the ancient Cathedral of the Presentation of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God was led by the chairman of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism, Metropolitan Theognost of Kashira.

I remembered how last year I was at a similar all-night vigil in a small monastery - it was so calm and focused. It is good that Abbot John is also the rector of the academy, the students must have participated as well. Thanks for the news.

Thanks for the news. Here in Kragujevac, I remember that last year we also had an all-night vigil for Vladimirska, but without so many people. It is good that Jovan is the abbot and the rector, surely the students from the academy also helped in the service.

Thank you, Anna. Here in Banja Luka, we also had vigils for Vladimirska last year, but there were more local grandmothers than young people. I'm interested, did the students from the seminary in Kragujevac help you with the singing or were they just in the altar?
