Patronal feast of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Bogatyrskaya, Polotsk deanerytranslated

On September 21, in the parish of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Bogatyrskaya, Polotsk deanery, celebrations dedicated to the patronal feast took place.

The festive events began the night before with the All-Night Vigil, which was performed by the rector of the church, Priest Andrei Babushkin, co-served by Priest Alexander Kozel.

On the day of the holiday itself, the Divine Liturgy was led by the dean of the Polotsk church district, Archpriest Alexander Shakhovich. His Reverence was served by: the rector of the parish, Priest Andrei Babushkin, the rector of the Church of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in Polotsk, Priest Alexander Kozel, and the cleric of the Epiphany Cathedral in Polotsk, Deacon Vladimir Dzhezhora.

During the service, a combined vocal group of singers from Orthodox churches in Minsk sang.

At the end of the Liturgy, the holiday moved to the courtyard of the church, where a festive meal was organized for parishioners and guests. The program continued with a festive concert, in which soloists of the folk song ensemble “Fertinka” (branch “Bogatyr SDK”), Yulia Ertman, the folk chamber spiritual-patriotic ensemble “Spadchyna”, as well as Minsk singers performed.
