Patronal feast of the Temple of the Prophet Elijah in the city of Zaraysk 08/02/2026translated

On August 2, 2026, on the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, the memory of the Prophet Elijah, Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna led the Divine Liturgy in the church of the same name in the city of Zaraysk. Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Archpriest Pyotr Spiridonov, Dean of the 1st Zaraisk District; rector of the temple, Archpriest Sergius Kudelin; dean of the 2nd Zaraisk district, cleric of the Elias Church, Priest Roman Kudelin and clergy of the deanery. Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Nativity of the Virgin Church in the village of Radushino, Zaraisk district, under the direction of Tatyana Mikhailovna Mikhaltsova. After the special litany, a prayer was offered for Holy Rus'. The sermon on the sacramental verse was delivered by Priest Roman Kudelin. At the end of the service, glorification was performed, after which Bishop Paul addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word. Refreshments were arranged for parishioners on the temple grounds.
