Priests and believers from Onești prayed for peace on Monday, during a pilgrimage to the Cross on Perchiu Hill, located near the city of Bacău.

The representatives of the Onești Deanery emphasized in a post on the Facebook page that the pilgrimage, carried out on the occasion of the celebration of the Ascension of the Holy Cross, to the monument that guards the municipality was a "spiritual climb".

"In their ascent, the pilgrims discovered that on the way of the Cross everyone becomes aware of their weaknesses, feeling the weight of their steps."

At the end of the journey, the participants took part in the service of the Akathist of the Holy Cross and prayed for the peace of the city and the whole country: "When I reach the foot of the Cross, I understand that everything that is difficult in the end becomes good and beautiful."
