Retired priests from the Moinești Archdiocese, honored at Roman: let Christ recognize Himself in us, says IPS Ioachimtranslated

A number of 12 retired priests from the Moinești Archdiocese were honored on Tuesday at Roman for their service. The festive moment began with the celebration of the Holy Liturgy at the "Holy Pious Parasacheva" Archbishop's Cathedral in the municipality.

The clerics met with Archbishop Joachim of Roman and Bacău and Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotusanul. On this occasion, His Eminence urged them to become confessors of the faith through their activity: "Let Christ recognize Himself in us and in the deeds we have done".

"Let us support one another, so that our lives may conform to the life of Jesus."

At the same time, the archbishop explained that the moment of retirement does not mark the end of priestly service: "When a priest enters the Liturgy, he does not enter with age, he enters with his experience, with his love, he enters with his permanent presence."

"We must always ask ourselves if Christ is recognized in our liturgies. This is the most important thing", said the Most Reverend Father Joachim.
