Representatives of the Ekaterinodar Theological Seminary took part in the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conferencetranslated

From October 5 to 6, 2026, the All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation “Synodal Translation: History and Modernity” was held in Tomsk, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the publication of the Synodal Translation of the Bible. The organizers were Tomsk Theological Seminary, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Tomsk State Pedagogical University and the Foundation for Support of Christian Culture and Heritage with the support of the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Representatives of the Ekaterinodar Theological Seminary took part in the conference:

- Priest Evgeny Ignatov - teacher of missiology, head of the missionary department of the Ekaterinodar diocese;

— Ivanov Roman Sergeevich — teacher of dogmatic theology and catechism, assistant to the head of the missionary department;

— Andrianavunisua Joachim is a 1st year undergraduate student.

Representatives of the African Exarchate also attended the conference.

On the first day of the conference, seminary teachers presented their scientific reports. Priest Evgeniy Ignatov revealed the topic “Biblical foundations of the social ministry of St. right John of Kronstadt”, and Roman Ivanov - “Translation of the Bible into local languages...
