Khmeimim is hard to pronounce, but if the church is there to provide spiritual support to the soldiers, that's good. As it happens in Damascus, in our church in Podgorica, we often talk about those who are far away.

Yes, Khmeimim is very difficult to pronounce, I just call it "that base near Latakia". Here in Kragujevac, they also pray for our boys who are serving far away, and it is nice that the priest goes personally among them. Have you heard if they also carry some icons or if they only serve the liturgy?
