The Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was solemnly celebrated in the Nova Gračanica monasterytranslated

The festive gathering began with the Holy Bishop's Liturgy, presided over by His Eminence, the Bishop of Kostajnički, Mr. Seraphim (Baltić), Vicar of His Eminence the Archbishop of Novogračanička-Chicago and Metropolitan of Midwestern America Mr. Longina. The abbot of this holy family, the Most Reverend Archimandrite Dr. Sergije (Puškar), the Most Reverend Protopriest-Stavrophor Miloš Vesin, as well as numerous clergy and monks of our Diocese, served together.

A large number of believers participated in the prayer meeting, gathered to offer prayers to the Holy Mother of God, the protector and patroness of this holy family. The beautiful singing of the archbishop's and student choirs contributed to the solemn beauty of the service. At the end of the Holy Liturgy, the celebration cake was consecrated and cut, which was followed by a solemn litany around the church. In the spirit of gratitude to the Lord and prayerful trust in the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, those gathered celebrated the feast of Her Holy Shroud, which for centuries testifies to Her constant care and love for the Christian race.
