Celebration of National Unity Day in Novopolotsktranslated

On September 17, Novopolotsk solemnly celebrated National Unity Day. The rector of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Novopolotsk, Archpriest Alexander Shakhovich, was invited to the festive events as an honorary guest.
Important events of the celebration, designed to strengthen peace and harmony in our land, were the solemn meeting and concert “Belarus is United”, which took place at the Palace of Culture of JSC Naftan.
As part of the ceremonial part, the Chairman of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee, Igor Burmistrov, expressed sincere gratitude to the townspeople who, with their hard work, active public service and caring, make a significant contribution to the prosperity of their native land.
Six young residents of Novopolotsk received their first passports as citizens of the Republic of Belarus from the hands of the city head. This event became a clear evidence of the preservation of historical traditions and continuity of generations.
