Добар празник за децата. Кај нас во Битола исто така секоја година на 1 септември се служи молебен пред почетокот на учебната година, децата се крстат со иконата. Се надевам дека и таму во Волгоград многумина од родителите останале до крај, а не само ги пуштиле децата и си отишле.

Here in Constanța, at the church of Saint Andrew, the father prays the same prayer on September 1, and the children receive small icons of Saint Nicholas. Last year I stayed until the end with my 10-year-old son and I thought it was nice that many parents came too. I hope Volgograd was just as full.

Here in Sibiu, at the neighborhood church, our father does the same prayer on September 1 and gives the children icons with Saint Spyridon, not Nicholas. My 12 year old was fine last year, but I've noticed a lot of parents leave early after taking the icon. Do you think that parents stay longer in Constanța because of local custom?
