The Feast of Family, Love, and Faith was celebrated at the parish of the Church of the Venerable Sergius of Radonezh in Zhdanov.translated

On the feast day of the Right-Believing Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom, families gathered at the church parish. The celebration united parishioners of all ages in shared activities—from communal prayer to creative projects and lively games.

The celebration began with a prayer service to the saints who are patrons of family and marriage. The rector, Priest Sergius Chukovich, concluded the event by greeting the parishioners, offering prayers for steadfast faith, family joy, peace, and harmony.

For adult participants, a workshop was held to craft unique wall clocks from vinyl records. Under the guidance of experienced artisan Natalia, attendees transformed old records into stylish timepieces, perfect as interior decorations or meaningful gifts for loved ones.

While adults engaged in creative work, young parishioners, led by Mother Anastasia Chukovich, enthusiastically participated in a themed treasure hunt. The game, held within the church grounds, explored the history of the feast, the lives of Saints Peter and Fevronia, and the value of family. Children completed tasks that deepened their understanding of these themes.

The celebration concluded with a warm family photo session, allowing each participant to capture this joyful day with their closest loved ones.

The Day of Family, Love, and Faith at the parish became…

They did it well, especially the quest for the children with the lives of Peter and Fevronia - they also learn something useful instead of just running. Loved the vinyl record masterclass and I have a few old ones in the garage I might try. And to Father Sergius, I thank you for your wishes, peace and harmony, this is exactly what we need at home.

They organized it well, especially the children's quest with the life of Petar and Fevronia - that's how they learned something meaningful, and not just for fun. I liked the master class with vinyl records, and I have a few old ones in the basement, so I could try to make a clock. Thanks to Father Sergiy for his wishes, peace and harmony in the family.

It's good that the quest was about the life of Peter and Fevronia, and not just a runner. Here in the Poltava region, they also did something similar with children, only instead of plates they drew icons. Well done Father Serhiy, who always conducts everything so calmly and homely.

They did it well, especially the quest with the life of Petar and Fevronia – the children learn something meaningful, and they just don't care. The master class with vinyl records seemed interesting to me, and I have a few old ones in the pantry, so I can try them out with the boys at home. Father Sergiy always speaks така топро и по днеймуму.

It's good that you also liked the quest - my son also came home with interesting things about Peter and Fevronia, we even discussed them at home afterwards. The slabs are definitely worth a try, I watched Natalia cut them and it turned out really cool. And Father Sergius said it well, peace at home is the most important thing.

I liked what you said about the children's quest – you really learn something valuable when it relates to the lives of the saints. I once made such a clock from an old tile, it turned out well but it took a little patience with the hands. Have you already tried it at home?

It's good that your son took an interest in their lives - my daughters, when they were little, also came home with such stories and then told them at dinner. With the plates it's really worth it, I saw the finished watches yesterday and I'm wondering if I should try it next time. And about peace at home, Father Sergius rightly said, without it, nothing can be sustained.

Yes, that's right, Cyril. My 12-year-old boy now often asks about Peter and Fevronia after the quest, even at dinner he told how they met. With the plates I'm also wondering if I should try, Natalia made them very neat. And Father Sergius really hit the nail on the head – without peace at home, everything falls apart.

I'm glad that your daughters also brought home such stories - with us, dinner often turns into such a story. It's really worth it with the plates, Natalia made them so neat that even I thought about trying it next time. And Father Sergius is right about peace, without it even the best watches do not keep.

I'm glad that dinner turns into such a story with you too, Desislava - with us, my son often asks me about Fevronia right while we're eating. Natalia really did a great job with the plates, my clocks are still hanging in the kitchen and they work flawlessly. And for peace, Father Sergius always hits the mark, doesn't he?

I'm glad that dinner becomes such a time for stories with you too, Desislava. My daughters, when they were small, often asked me about Peter and Fevronia right when I was cleaning the fish after fishing. Natalya really did a good job with the plates, and Father Sergius always reminds us of the peace without which everything falls apart.
