Holiday “Our Motherland - Russia” in the preschool department 1-47 of the Lyceum of the city of Istratranslated

On July 7, in the preschool department 1-47 of the Lyceum of the City of Istra, as part of the celebration of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and the Year of Preschool Education, a large-scale festival “Friendship of Peoples: Traditions and Modernity” was held.

The students, together with their teachers, prepared creative musical numbers, songs and poems dedicated to our Motherland - Russia.

Present at the ceremonial part of the holiday were: Olicheva O.A. — Director of the Municipal Educational Institution “Lyceum of Istra”; Malykh I.P. - Director of the Municipal Educational Institution “Istrinskaya Secondary School named after. M.Yu. Lermontov"; Mamonova A.V. - Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Administration of the Municipal District of Istra, educators and teachers of preschool institutions of the municipal district.

The event was attended by priest Maxim Saryev, cleric of the Myronositsky Church in the city of Istra, at the invitation of the administration. The priest noted that our Fatherland was shaped by the Russian language and culture, family and moral values, the Orthodox faith and religiosity of the Russian people, which made it possible to accept the peoples of our country into a single space.

In the second part of the holiday, a number of creative master classes took place, at which teachers and educators shared their experience of teaching Russian language to children...

Thanks for sharing this. Nice to see Father Maxim from the Myrrh-bearing Church there, and his point about how Orthodox faith and family values helped bring all the different peoples together really hits home. Our kids need more of those master classes on passing down real Russian traditions.

Father Maxim's words remind me well how the family and the Orthodox faith have always been what bound our people together. It's nice that such a holiday is organized for the children, especially when it was followed by master classes.
