Your Parish, Your Hour, One Prayer

In the spirit of Matthew 18:19, where Christ promises His presence when two or three gather in His name, Orthodox House Social invites you to join our cherished practice of “Prayer by Agreement.” This ancient tradition, alive in our communities for centuries, unites the faithful in a single, shared prayer at a designated hour, lifting hearts together in communion. Currently, eleven active groups on our platform bring together over thirty souls, each group maintaining a sacred list of names—those who are ill, those who have departed, and all for whom we lift our prayers.
Tonight at 21:00 UTC, we join the global “Universal Prayer for Peace” group. Whether you are in New York, Athens, or Sydney, all are welcome to unite with us at that hour, with a gentle reminder sent to your inbox just before. This is not merely a time, but a fellowship of intercession, a quiet strength woven through shared devotion.
Perhaps your own parish, diocese, or beloved church community could form its own rhythm of prayer. Creating a group for your local community is simple, and it becomes a living prayer chain, a place where the names of your loved ones are remembered in the heart of the Church. Let this be a new thread of light in your community.
We warmly invite you to join tonight’s universal prayer, and to consider forming your own group. Come, let the Holy Spirit guide your parish into this beautiful practice of unity. Find the Prayers section on Orthodox House Social, and let us pray together—one hour, one heart, one Church.
