Your Parish, Your Hour, One Prayer

There is a beautiful, ancient rhythm to the prayers of the faithful that echoes through the centuries. In the spirit of Matthew 18:19, where Christ promises His presence when two or more gather in His name, Orthodox House Social invites you to join the timeless practice of “Prayer by Agreement.” This is not a new innovation, but a cherished tradition where brothers and sisters lift their hearts in unison at a shared hour, strengthening the bonds of the Body of Christ through common prayer.
We are blessed to see this practice taking root within our community. Currently, eleven active prayer groups are already gathering, with over three hundred names being remembered in their intercessions for the sick, the departed, and all in need. Tonight, at 21:00 UTC, the global group ‘Universal Prayer for Peace’ will unite in prayer. You are warmly welcomed to join them, or indeed to create your own group for your parish, diocese, or local Church family. Simply set your agreed hour, share the link, and watch as your community grows in prayer. Each group maintains a living list of names, and members receive a gentle reminder before the appointed time, ensuring no one is forgotten.
Let us deepen our shared spiritual life. Create your parish’s prayer hour today. Find all groups, see the commemoration lists, and join the prayer journey by visiting the Prayers section on Orthodox House Social. Together, in one hour, one prayer, we become one in Christ.
