On the day of the celebration of the Council of Radonezh Saints, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the lower church of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. The ruling bishop was assisted by the clergy of the cathedral. The chants of the service were performed by the Bishop's male choir "Axios" under the direction of regent Yulia Vasina. In his sermon, Bishop Alexy focused on the passage read today from the 9th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. Two blind men confessed Christ as Savior and believed that He would help them. The Lord heals them with the words: “According to your faith, be it done to you” (Matthew 9:29). The archpastor noted that our faith does not consist in understanding that God, the Angelic world and eternal life exist, but in trusting God. “Each of us must ask ourselves the question: “Do I trust God? Or do I start to grumble, do I start to be tempted, or do I start to relax in some different life circumstances?” We understand the will of God when it does not contradict the words that we hear in the Holy Scriptures.
