On September 24, on the day of remembrance of our blessed mother Agathia Kushelovskaya and the Monk Silouan of Athos, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Tiraspol. Concelebrating with the Most Reverend Bishop, the rector of the Vozdvizhensky parish, were Hieromonk John (Traito), Hieromonk Simeon (Lupashko) and the cleric of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, Protodeacon Sergius Afteni. After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka Savva and the clergy performed glorification before the image with a particle of the relics of the currently honored locally revered saint of our region - Blessed Agathia Kushelovskaya, who reposed on June 22, 1873. The blessed old woman was glorified as a saint on September 24, 2016, and since that day, in the churches of the Moldavian Metropolis, prayer appeals to this wondrous ascetic have not ceased, to which she listens from the Heavenly abodes and gives her help to everyone who turns with faith to her intercession before the Lord and the Queen of Heaven.
