May God bless you all on this blessed day. I remembered how we used to go with my mother to the river in Zahle to take immersion water, and it was very cold. Did they pray at the river this year as well?

Here in Yekaterinburg, too, they always bless the water on the Irtysh, even in severe frost. This year, they say, there were a lot of people, despite minus twenty. In your cathedral, after the service, were bottles of Epiphany water distributed to everyone?

Here in Nizhny on the Volga the water is also always blessed, even when it’s -18. This year, after the service in the church, everyone was given a bottle, just like in your cathedral, probably. Was prayer held near the river in Gomel or only in the cathedral?

Yes, they held prayers at the river this year as usual, despite the cold. I remember with you those trips to Zahle with my mother. We would return with our hands frozen and yet we felt happy. God bless you too, Elias.

Yes, the cold in Zahle was harsh, but the blessed water was worth it. This year, they prayed at the river immediately after Mass, and many people took water. Do you still remember the details of the old path, or have you started taking it only from the church?
