Fr. Stelian Tofană held a conference about women in the writings of the New Testament at Vatra Dorneitranslated

Father Stelian Tofană, professor at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Cluj-Napoca, held the conference "Women in the writings of the New Testament. Reverberations in contemporaneity" at Vatra Dornei on Sunday.

The event took place in the large hall of the Museum and Multicultural Center "Palatul Dornelor" - Casino Băilor and brought together clergy, monks and many believers.

During the lecture, Fr. Stelian Tofană started from several female characters presented in the New Testament, including the Mother of God, the Samaritan woman, the Canaanite woman, Mary Magdalene, Loida and Eunice (Timothy's grandmother and mother). The priest emphasized the model of faith, confession and the role that women have in transmitting the faith to the next generations.

The lecture also drew attention to the place of the Christian family, approached from the perspective of the relationship between Christ and the Church. The love between spouses was presented as a form of mutual giving, based on communion, respect and sacrifice.

Thank you, interesting lecture. I especially remember how Father Stelian spoke about Lois and Eunice - how faith is passed on from grandmother to mother and further to Timothy. It was like that in our family too; my grandmother was the first to take me to church. And about family as a reflection of Christ and the Church - this is always relevant, especially when children are small.
