Fr. Ion Dragomir: The history of the salvation of the human race is under the sign of the Holy Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christtranslated

"The history of the salvation of the human race stands under the sign of the Holy Cross and the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ," said Fr. Ion Dragomir, patriarchal adviser, on Sunday, at the Chapel of the National Cathedral.

The patriarchal adviser referred to the dialogue of the Savior Jesus Christ with Nicodemus, read during the Holy Liturgy, which includes a declaration of God's love for the human race, a declaration in which the Savior anticipates His sacrifice on the Cross: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life".

"This key that our Savior Jesus Christ offers to Nicodemus to understand the mystery of God's descent to earth is actually the essence of this Sunday - the foreshadowing and history of the mystery of the Holy Cross for the human race," Fr. Ion Dragomir.
