Beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord! Dear mothers!
I cordially congratulate you on the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and Mother’s Day!
It is symbolic that in Belarus these two holidays are celebrated on the same day. When we turn to the Most Holy Theotokos in prayer, we ask for Her maternal intercession, and when we honor our mothers, we gratefully remember their love, care, patience and selfless work.
Motherhood is a great service of love, through which faith, kindness, mercy and the moral foundations of family life are passed on from generation to generation. It is maternal prayer, personal example and wise instruction that often become spiritual support for a person throughout his life.
On this holiday, I express my sincere gratitude to all mothers for their work and prayers, for raising children and maintaining family warmth. I urge everyone to remember their filial and daughterly duty, to surround their mothers with attention, care and love.
May the Most Holy Lady Theotokos cover all our mothers with Her honorable Omophorion, granting them health, peace of mind, strength of strength and God’s blessing for many and prosperous years to come!
