The stories of 71 women persecuted by the communist regime will be presented in an exhibition at the Pitesti Prison Memorialtranslated

The stories of 71 women persecuted by the communist regime will be presented on November 5, as part of the "Enemies of the People" exhibition, organized at the "Pitesti Prison" Memorial.
Along with the individual stories, the approach presents the extent of the repression directed against women and the reasons for their persecution, including ties to the West, anti-communist resistance, kinship with people in the regime's attention, or their own beliefs.
An important section of the exhibition is "The Youngest Prisoners", which documents the plight of girls who have known the prison experience since birth.
At the same time, visitors will be able to discover aspects of life in the penitentiaries intended for women, through fragments of memorials and objects made by them during detention.
The opening of the exhibition "Enemies of the people" will take place starting at 18:00.
Testimonials and documents During the opening, Virginia Ion, curator of the exhibition project, and Ioana Boca, representative of the Memorial to the Victims of Communism and Resistance, will present the participants with the stages of the realization of the project...
