Visit to correctional colony No. 26: Divine Liturgy, Sacrament of Baptism and spiritual conversationtranslated

A member of the board of the Vera Charitable Foundation for Education, Konstantin Bobylev, together with Priest Dimitry Sverbyagin, visited correctional colony No. 26 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Samara Region, where they celebrated the Divine Liturgy. After the completion of the service, the Sacrament of Baptism took place in the institution, during which one of the convicts accepted the Orthodox faith. Later, Konstantin Bobylev and Priest Dimitry Sverbyagin held a pastoral conversation with the convicts. As a spiritual basis for reflection, those gathered were asked to study the Gospel passage about the publican Zacchaeus, who, after meeting the Savior, decided to repay four times all those whom he had offended. The convicts were tasked with preparing their arguments on this issue.
