Our St. Nicholas monastery in Novosibirsk also closes for summer in July. Hope they pack enough sandwiches for Castel Gandolfo—last year the kitchen ran out of rye bread during the heatwave.

Here in Niš, the monastery of St. Panteleimon also closes its gates to guests in July due to the heat. I'm surprised that the Pope is going to Castel Gandolfo, I guess at least there is good shade and he doesn't have to worry about bread like last year.

Rest in peace to the Pope. In our parts, the monasteries also close in July due to the heat, as Stepan also wrote about Novosibirsk. I just hope they have good air conditioning in Castel Gandolfo, because last year they say they ran out of bread.

Here in Kragujevac, the monastery of St. It also closes on Fridays for July due to the heat and roof repairs. I'm surprised that the pope chooses Castel Gandolfo, I guess it has better shade there than last year when they ran out of rye bread. I hope they packed enough sandwiches.

In our Nizhny Novgorod convent there is also always a calm in July, the windows are closed from the heat. I wonder, does the kitchen at Castel Gandolfo prepare anything of its own or is everything imported? Last year, apparently, there wasn’t enough bread for everyone.

Our Telavi monastery also closes its doors in July because of the heat, as it is written in Novosibirsk. I wonder if they made enough bread in Castel Gandolfo or if they will run out again like last year.

It's always quieter here in the Odesa Holy Dormition Monastery in July, the brothers are resting in the heat. I wonder if the kitchen at Castel Gandolfo has stocked up on normal bread this year, because last year, apparently, there wasn't enough for everyone.

Rest in peace to the Pope. And in our own monasteries in Cyprus they close in July because of the heat, as Stepan writes about Novosibirsk. I only hope this year they have procured enough bread in advance, because last year they say they ran out.

Our little choir group at St. John the Baptist here in Pittsburgh always takes July off too because of the heat and folks traveling. Funny how every monastery in the comments seems to shut down the same week the Pope heads to Castel Gandolfo. Hope his kitchen remembered the rye bread this year.

Our choir at St. Elizabeth in Denver does the same every July; the heat just kills the rehearsal energy and half the tenors are off camping. Does your group pick back up right after the 4th or wait till August? Hope the rye bread makes the trip too.

True, they know the heat well in Telavi as well. But I also remember the story of the bread in Castel Gandolfo last year, in the end they survived with Italian cookies. This year I wonder what the bakers there will prepare.

Here in Podgorica it is similar, the monastery of St. Đorđa pod Rimski šumes closes its gates for July because everything melts from the heat. And as for that bread last year, they really could have prepared better, do you ever send sandwiches to someone when you go to the beach? 😊

Our choir at St. Nicholas in Boston does the same every July. The heat in the church hall is brutal and half the altos head to the Cape. Does your group ever sing outdoors for the parish picnic before you break?

Admittedly, the Telavi heat is bothering us too, but the Italian buns are still better than their bread story last year. What will the bakers prepare this year? Do you think pizza will be included in the menu?

It's true, Levan, I also remember the story of that bread last year. This year, the bakers there will probably make typical Italian cookies and pizza, but I wonder if they will send them something from Georgia. what would you say
