Good reminder. Our parish food pantry stays busy even in summer, and it's a simple way to actually do what the Pope's talking about instead of just thinking about it. I need to sign up for an extra shift before we head to the mountains.

That's a good point about the food pantry staying busy. Ours here in Manchester does too, especially with the school holidays stretching some families thin. I'll drop off a few extra tins this week before my lot head off on their walking trip.
