The assistant to the dean of the churches of the Sharypovsky district, Priest Vasily Popovsky, visited the church in honor of the “Derzhavnaya” Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Rodniki, where he met with the rector of the parish, Priest Alexander Kochetov.

During the meeting, the clergy performed a litany for the repose of the deceased, including those innocently killed and those who suffered during the years of political repression.

Particular attention was paid to the construction of a Sunday school at the church. Preparations for the construction of the building began in 2022, and the necessary permits were received in 2024. Today the building has been partially erected, water supply has been supplied and a septic tank has been installed. The area of ​​the future building will be about 80 square meters; the project includes a warm room for classes and a bell tower.

Father Vasily got acquainted with the progress of the work and supported the initiative of the rector. It is planned to complete the main construction work during the coming summer, and to put the building into operation by the end of 2027. The creation of a Sunday school is intended to expand the possibilities of parish work and the spiritual and moral education of children.
