Assistant to the head of the Missionary Department of the Novosibirsk Diocese, priest Artemy Silvestrov, took part in a youth forum dedicated to the dialogue of culturestranslated

The forum venue was the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEU). In a conversation with students, Father Artemy especially focused on the fact that, perhaps, at present there are no areas of human life that do not require a moral assessment of what is happening. The priest also emphasized that moral values themselves are not simply the fruit of human experience, a kind of civilizational heritage, but take their basis in traditional religions, in holy books and the spiritual experience of believers. Father Artemy told how exactly the experience of Christian spiritual life contributes to the well-being and peaceful, dignified life of both a particular person and society as a whole and, on the contrary, how deviation from Christian norms pushes society towards chaos, discord and violence, and can turn the life of a particular person into hell. The event was attended by representatives of Islam and Buddhism, as well as secular educators and scientists.
