The holiday, originally dedicated to the Day of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary (October 14), was moved to November 1 - the eve of the Day of National Unity and the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The event was opened by Hieromonk Nestor (Smirnov), who addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
