Pokrovskaya meeting with ninth graderstranslated

On the Day of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, October 14, students of the 9th “E” grade of school No. 2 in Istra, together with their teachers, visited the Church of the Myrrh-Bearing Women. The clergyman of the church, Archpriest Alexander Varenikov, told the children about the immortality of the soul, about the place that church sacraments and divine services occupy in a person’s life, about the virtues of personality and the power of prayer. The schoolchildren and teachers sincerely thanked Father Alexander for introducing him to the main meanings of the Orthodox faith, which some children heard about for the first time.
