Intercession and Father's Day celebrated in Trinity Sungurtranslated

On October 18, at the Sunday school at the church in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in the village of Trinity Sungur, a holiday was held that united the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and All-Russian Father's Day.

The rector of the church, Archpriest Andrei Korshunov, addressed those gathered with a welcoming speech. The priest congratulated everyone on the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and reminded them of the importance of parental love, faith and spiritual education of children.

An important part of the celebration was the honoring of the fathers - parishioners of the church. They were presented with letters of gratitude from the administration of the Troitskosungursky rural settlement for their exemplary fatherly work and contribution to strengthening family traditions. Young participants of the holiday also received books as a gift.

— It is the father who is the main example of courage, patience and faith for children. Through their daily work and care, fathers teach their children the most important thing: love for God, for their native land and for each other. The kind of people the younger generation will grow up to depend on their personal example. May the Lord strengthen all fathers on this difficult but blessed path,” Father Andrei emphasized.
