The results of the charity event “Let’s help get children ready for school” have been summed uptranslated

Getting ready for the new school year requires a lot of effort and money from parents. For families who are raising several children, are in difficult life situations, or have children with disabilities, these expenses become a serious burden.

On the eve of the new school year, the Gomel diocese, with the blessing of His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, held an annual charity event “Let’s help get children ready for school.”

Children from large families, single-parent families, guardianship families, families raising disabled children, as well as families in socially dangerous situations received assistance. Support was also provided to pupils of boarding schools, social and pedagogical centers, and correctional and developmental education centers.

The action was joined by parishes of churches and monasteries, diocesan departments, volunteers, the charitable society “Mothers” and parishioners. The children were given briefcases, school supplies, clothes and shoes, and financial assistance.
