Hello. Perhaps what I have said will seem stupid, but I cannot calm down, my soul is heavy. I picked up a kitten, very small, a week old, and hasn’t opened its eyes yet. He crawled in the bushes, squeaked, was alone, surrounded by a crow and a seagull. I took it home (I already have animals). I thought about going out and installing it. The whole family fell in love with the baby. We bought everything we needed and fed her with a special mixture. They went to the veterinary hospital when he stopped eating, but then he died. I blame myself for everything. I’ve been crying for two days now, he was so small, I hoped to save him, but it didn’t work out! We feel so sorry for him, his son was crying. Such a tragedy...

You have taken responsibility for a tiny life, invested strength, hope and love into it, and its passing is experienced as a personal loss. This is a natural reaction of a compassionate person to the fact that you could not hold on to what seemed to be already saved. But now it is important to separate the feeling of guilt from the facts: you did not abandon the kitten in the bushes, you did not pass by, you did everything in your power - took it, fed it, took it to the doctor. This is not inaction, you did everything possible...
