“Under the Protection of the Virgin Mary in the Family Circle”: a family holiday was held at the Sunday school of the Panteleimon Church of Lidatranslated

On October 18, as part of the Week of Parental Love, the Sunday school of the Panteleimon Church held the holiday “Under the Protection of the Virgin Mary in the Family Circle.”

Participants - children, parents, grandparents, teachers, after registration - were seated at tables in groups indicated by signs.

The celebration was opened by the rector of the church, Archpriest Vladimir Yaromich. The priest greeted the participants, announced the theme and course of the event, and congratulated those gathered on the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Week of Parental Love. And, of course, he noted that the family is a small Church, and the Protection of the Mother of God extends over every home where love and prayer live.

Then the intellectual game “What? Where? When?" on the theme “Holy Wives of the Belarusian Land”, dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman.

The presenter was the rector of the church, Archpriest Vladimir Yaromich. Teams of children and parents recalled the lives of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, St. Sophia of Slutsk, Blessed Valentina of Minsk, St. Manefa of Gomel and St. Juliania of Olshansk, wrote down the correct answer on stickers, and then handed them over to the jury members. The questions combined knowledge of Church history and family topics.
