The painter Horea Paștina, disciple of St. Dumitru Stăniloae, awarded with the "St. Ier. Martyr Antim Ivireanul" Order, was awarded on Tuesday with the "St. Ier. Martyr Antim Ivireanul" Order granted by His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel.

The distinction was handed out by Fr. Victor-Lucian Georgescu, archpriest of Sector 1 of the Capital, at the launch event of the retrospective album "Horea Paștina. Punctul", published by the Addendum Publishing House on the occasion of the artist's 80th birthday.

The order was awarded for the activity and discipline of the artist, His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel admiring the confessional art in the image, pointed out Father Archpope Victor-Lucian Georgescu.

The painter thanked the Patriarch of Romania for the order, confessing that this recognition strengthens his conviction that painting can be a form of confession of faith and a means of getting closer to God.
