The foundation stone of the future church in the Vrâncean Village Museum was consecrated by IPS Cipriantranslated

Archbishop Ciprian of Buzău and Vrancea consecrated the foundation stone of the future wooden church in the Vrâncean Village Museum on Thursday. The place will be dedicated to "The Nativity of the Mother of God" and will be the cathedral of the "St. Pious Parascheva" Cathedral in Focșani.

According to a press release sent by the Vrancea County Council, the service took place during the Vrâncean Village Days.

The foundation of the future church was poured in 2025, and the completion of the construction is planned for 2028, when it will be 50 years since the establishment of the Vrâncean Village Museum. The church will be modeled after the wooden "St. Nicolae" shrine from the Vrâncioaia village.

The Archbishop of Buzău and Vrancea appreciated the initiative of building a church within the museum and highlighted the importance of preserving the identity, spirituality and faith of the Romanian people.
