Over 60 children from Romania and Hungary participated in the International Toacă Festival in Victoriatranslated

More than 60 children from 14 counties of Romania and Hungary participated on Tuesday in the 21st edition of the International Toacă Festival, held at the "Saints Constantine and Elena" Church in the city of Victoria, Brașov county.
The participants were welcomed at the Victoria Town Hall, where the local authorities hosted a reception in honor of the guests. The program continued with the folk port parade, during which the children presented traditional costumes specific to the areas they come from.
The central moment of the festival was the meatball competition. At the end of the competition, each participant was awarded by the organizers.
Now in its 21st edition, the Victoria International Toacă Festival is considered the oldest festival of its kind in Romania.
According to the organizers, during the more than two decades of its existence, the event "became a model for numerous similar initiatives organized later in different areas of the country, significantly contributing to the preservation and promotion of the tradition of beating the toacai among children and young people".
