More than 4,000 young people participated in the opening of the events dedicated to the celebration of Saint Nifon, in Târgoviștetranslated

More than 4,000 young people participated on Monday in the inaugural demonstrations dedicated to the celebration of Saint Hierarch Nifon, in Târgoviște.

They took part in the Vespers service, celebrated on a specially arranged podium near the diocesan Cathedral.

After the service, His Eminence Father Nifon, Archbishop of Târgoviște, Honorary Metropolitan and Patriarchal Exarch, awarded the students who obtained the first places at the county stage of the National Religion Olympiad and the National Interdisciplinary Olympiad "Romanian Culture and Spirituality", together with their coordinating teachers.

In the speech addressed to the young people, His Eminence warned them about the temptations through which they can lose their faith, urging them to be joyful confessors of the Orthodox Christian faith.

Also, the honorary Metropolitan emphasized that the teaching of Christ the Savior is current, alive and has a chosen freshness, as well as an amazing power to transform man, making him better, more just and honest, in order to live in harmony and in holy joy with his fellow men.
