More than 350 believers participated in the procession with the Icon of the Mother of God Prodromită at Cocorăstii Grind, Prahovatranslated

More than 350 believers participated on Saturday in the procession with the Icon of the Mother of God Prodromita held in the town of Cocorăstii Grind in Prahova county.

The demonstrations began with the Vigil service, held in the parish church. After the service, the faithful started in procession through the streets of the town, together with the ministering priests and the nuns from the Țigănești Monastery in Prahova county.

The icon was carried on a mobile table and preceded by the procession, rapids, flag bearers and thoroughbred horses of the Tartășești Equestrian Academy.

At the end of the procession, a word of praise dedicated to the Mother of God was spoken, and the participants took part in the fraternal agape organized by the community.

Since 2020, the Parish of Cocorăștii Grind has kept a life-size copy of the miracle-working icon from the Prodromu Romanian Hermitage in the Holy Mount Athos and annually organizes events dedicated to honoring it.
