More than 165 rural sites from Romania and the Republic of Moldova participate on August 29 in the Night of Museums in the Villages.
Among the listed spaces are village museum collections, memorial houses, mansions, traditional households, archaeological sites, churches, mills, craft workshops and other places that preserve the memory of rural communities.
Among the participants, 13 are museums and cultural objectives from the Republic of Moldova, which this year join the network dedicated to heritage outside the big urban centers.
Rural heritage, in relation to the community The organizers propose for this year's edition the continuation of the project "Living Rural Museum Ecosystems", through which heritage is valued together with people, local initiatives and community resources.
"The concept starts from the idea that the rural heritage is not only something that needs to be preserved, but a living resource, capable of generating creation and local development," a press release states.
Within these ecosystems, cultural actors, local communities, artists, children, professionals and visitors are involved, who together develop cultural education and valorization projects...
