“First Bell 2026” at the Sunday school of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Novopolotsktranslated

On October 18, the Sunday school of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Novopolotsk again opened its doors to students. On this day, after the end of the Divine Liturgy, a prayer service was held for the beginning of the teaching, which was performed by the rector of the parish, Archpriest Alexander Shakhovich, co-served by Priest Tikhon Antukh.
Father Alexander addressed those gathered with a pastoral word, in which he emphasized that every person needs God’s help to successfully comprehend good and useful knowledge.
After the prayer service ended, a fascinating journey into the world of Orthodox culture took place for the Sunday school students. The children remembered the history of the autumn holidays of the Orthodox calendar and talked about the fact that in life it is important to always remember God, showing kindness and care for others.
On the same day, a parent meeting was also held, which was chaired by the director of the Sunday school, Priest Tikhon Antukh.
